Well-made and useful item for the price. Cylindrical batteries are a tight fit; I have not tried it on any button-types or those with both poles at one end. User should read and follow instructions carefully. If you buy batteries in large quantity pkgs on sale, it is good to have a gadget like this to check & see if they are still good by the time you need to use them. It is also very handy to have when your remote (or other battery-driven product) quits and you need to know if a simple change of battery is all it needs.

The battery tester worked well in testing all sizes of batteries. I would have preferred a tester that did not require a battery itself to operate.
Having used other testers in the past I strongly recommend this one for its ease of operation and clarity in presenting the strength of the battery being tested.

I have tried a lot of battery testers and this one is, by far, the BEST I have had! It’s so universal that I gave away the drawer full of the individual ones I used to use! I’m buying these for my adult children as gifts…truly a BEST BUY!

The gauge seems to be accurate within reason (not 100%, but close enough to tell if it is a good or dead battery). The design is pretty good, but some of the coin batteries are difficult to consistently get a good connection and some of the other batteries either fall out or difficult to get in. Overall, it serves it’s purpose though.
