The Lazy E goes to Sundance Film Festival

I was in Park City this past weekend to support Brita’s FilterForGood campaign to reduce bottled water waste and do some filming for Sundance Channel. The campaign was there in force providing 40,000 FilterForGood reusable water bottles to festival goers. Brita hydration hubs were also situated around town so folks could stay hydrated at altitude. FFG non-profit partner Surfrider Foundation was also on hand for the festivities so I had the opportunity to interview communications manager Alexis Henry and get the low down and how this sexy organization is making waves to protect our coasts and waterways. I continue to be very impressed with Brita’s FFG campaign and proud to be part of it.

On the festival side, I interviewed two fascinating environmental filmmakers – Josh Fox of Gasland and Lucy Walker of Waste Land. I also had the opportunity to interview grammy-nominated country music trio Lady Antebellum and introduce them at their concert on Saturday evening. It was the first time I’ve been on stage to introduce a band and I must say I did a damn fine job of getting the crowd riled up (video hopefully to follow). Below is a pic from one of the more surreal moments of my time at the festival – hanging out with Tom Arnold at Sundance Channel’s hospitality suite. I also had a rather strange conversation with David Cross. Since I don’t actually own a tv, I didn’t actually know who he is (even though of course he’s very funny and talented) and therefore didn’t understand why everyone was so happy to see him. He told me about his new show launching on IFC, and it does indeed sound hilarious. Lastly, you’ll see below a pic of me and Squeen. She’s a stuntwoman so even though she’s 7 months pregnant, she skis if she wants to and she wanted to.
