Eco Factor: Energy-efficient monitors from Samsung.
Samsung has been following the green route with around 197 products, which include 153 monitors and 44 notebooks that are registered with EPEAT. The company has announced that its three new monitors that include the 943BT, 943BWT, 2243BWT and 2443BWT SyncMaster have also been registered as EPEAT Gold.
The EPEAT Gold certification means that the monitors consume less electricity and limit the use of a number of harmful components, while increasing recyclable components. The company is also running an Envirosync program, which allows consumers to recycle old hardware, regardless of the brand, whenever they purchase a new Samsung product.
