The Future of Sustainable Mobility: VW Environmental Leadership Day On Capitol Hill

This Wednesday, May 6th, I’ll be in Washington DC to participate on a panel about the future of sustainable mobility as part of the Volkswagen Group Environmental Leadership and Technology Day.

I’m particularly stoked as I’m quite partial to the new high-mileage, clean diesel Jettas from Volkswagen – especially that oh-so-sweet Sportwagen – that deliver on style, performance, and functionality while reducing the environment impact of those who drive them. It’s precisely this kind of innovation which we need more of as we craft a future that is both vibrant and in balance with nature’s abilities to sustain it.

Other panel participants include Johan de Nysschen, President of Audi of America; Thom Mason, Director of Oak Ridge National Laboratory; and Glenn Prickett, Executive Director of The Center for Environmental Leadership in Business at Conservation International. Senator Mark Warner of Virginia will address the audience following the panel. The day’s events will be kicked-off by Stefan Jacoby, President and CEO, Volkswagen Group of America.

VW recently launched TDItruthanddare.com to inform car drivers about the benefits of new, clean-diesel technology.
