Riding a bike tens of miles to your office doesn’t sound like a practical way to reduce your carbon footprint. However, going to a market on a bike does seem green. Mardjetko Gonzalez and Jimena Guadalupe have designed a bike that can be folded into a trolley and kept in the trunk of your car and unfolded whenever you’re in the market to ensure that your shopping doesn’t hurt the environment.
The bike has a bolt that secures the front wheel in two positions, once removed by pressing a button on the handlebar the bike can easily be folded and dragged in an upright position. Made from lightweight materials, the folding and unfolding job won’t be exhausting.
