Eco Factor: Software that let you know your home electricity consumption on web.
Till today you have been accessing the sea of vast information present on internet through google. However, google wants to give you a more useful gift, its new free web service called PowerMeter that’ll let users track energy consumption in their homes, business etc. That sounds perplexing, but deserves a warm welcome if it can do any good to prevent energy crisis in anyway. Google claims that their engineers have developed a software tool called “Google PowerMeter” and are working on more consumer tools. Through this software, users can keep themselves updated with information relating to energy consumption in their respective work-places. PowerMeter is going through final testing after which it will be available for public use.
The Dark Side: It’s definitely a beneficial feature for users and hardly leaves behind anything for criticism. However, response from public will decide its fate.
