Eco Factor: Solar-powered LED lighting for illuminated evenings.
Making great use of the only star of the solar system, designer Mustafa Emre Olur has designed the Lightimus – a solar-powered nighttime lighting system. The LED light comes in the form of a traditional hourglass. One side of this hourglass carries the solar panels and the other translucent side carries the LED light bulbs.

During daytime the light is kept in the sun to gather the energy and turning the hourglass upside down during night automatically turns on 12 LED bulbs. A full day charging can illuminate the lights for up to 8 hours. If anytime you feel that 12 LEDs are just too boring for your romantic candle-lit evening, you can simply turn it upside down again to turn off the bulbs.
The Dark Side:
We are not too sure of the materials to be used for constructing this device. If ecofriendliness will not have to be sacrificed for the product, the Lightimus can surely catch the attention of many homeowners.
